I created this piece inspired by the teaser trailer for season three, part one, of LEGO Ninjago: Dragons Rising. This show consistently motivates my drawings, and I often sketch elements from its universe.

I particularly like this piece because it reflects my interpretation of a moment just after a scene in the trailer, rather than being a direct screenshot. I challenged myself with the lighting, as the original scene is dark with bright smoke. Experimenting with light from below a character was new for me, and I enjoyed exploring different ways to depict light and shadow.
